This means that even if you were to travel at 90% of the speed of light, you’d still take over 4 years to reach the nearest star outside of our solar system.

Black holes are regions of spacetime where gravity is so strong that nothing, not even light, can escape. They’re formed when massive stars collapse in on themselves, creating an immense gravitational pull. The largest black hole discovered so far has a mass of approximately 40 billion solar masses, making it a cosmic monument to the power of gravity.
The Andromeda Galaxy is Coming for Us
The Andromeda galaxy, our closest galactic neighbor, is currently hurtling towards us at a speed of about 250,000 miles per hour. Don’t worry, though - it’s not going to collide with us for about 4 billion years. By that time, the Earth and the Sun will have long since become part of the Andromeda galaxy.
